I’ve used Technorati in the past and been pretty indifferent about it. It was slow and kinda unweildy to use. A recent Scoble post pointed out the update, and man is Technorati looking gorgeous now. And it’s fast.

If you can’t stand the Web2 stylin’, then just go to the minimal, Googlesque search page and get rocking.

Wait, hang on. I thought this new update was spreading like wildfire, so I ran some searches:

• Google thinks it’s hot.
• Techmeme gets some action.
• Bloglines? Yup!
• Strangely, Technorati itself is kinda bashful (as at 1000 hrs GMT), and even perhaps poisoned by spam postings? Damn… perhaps new Technorati isn’t as cool as I thought?

Oh. Wow. Digging further, a whole heap of search results are totally spammed out.  Not a good look at all, especially when Google and Bloglines seem to filter out the spam without issue.
